The Internship:
During this summer internship, you will work closely with our highly skilled team and participate in a variety of projects. This experience will provide you with practical knowledge and insights into the electrical industry, enhancing your technical skills and laying a solid foundation for your future career.
The internship programme will run from November 2025 to February 2026, during the summer holiday period. We are looking for Engineering Interns currently in their second to final year of study. The internship will be based in Christchurch and contribute to your work experience criteria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components.
- Conduct research and analyse data to support project objectives.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions on project progress.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Assist with crucial business planning tasks, including forecasting and scenario modelling.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations as required.

About You:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (NZQA) and in your second to final year of study.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering principles.
- Proficient in relevant software tools and programming languages.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Curiosity and a passion for the energy sector.
